Season 2 is the second season of Prime Video's The Summer I Turned Pretty was announced June 8, 2022.[3] The series premiered a day earlier on July 13 on Prime Video with a triple episode premiere. The season officially was released on July 14, 2023.[1] The season concluded on August 18, 2023.
On August 3, 2023, it was announced that Prime Video ordered a third season of the series.[4]
Synopsis[]
Belly used to count down the days until she could return to Cousins Beach, but with Conrad and Jeremiah fighting over her heart and the return of Susannah’s cancer, she’s not sure summer will ever be the same. When an unexpected visitor threatens the future of Susannah’s beloved house, Belly has to rally the gang to come together—and to decide once and for all where her heart lies.

On June 8, 2022, Amazon Studios ordered a second season of the series.[3]
Casting[]
On August 31, 2022, Kyra Sedgwick and Elsie Fisher joined the cast in undisclosed recurring roles.[5] In July 2023, it was revealed that Sedgwick and Fisher would portray estranged Fisher relatives: Julia and Skye, respectively.
Filming[]
On July 13, 2022, Gavin Casalegno who portrays Jeremiah Fisher, posted an Instagram story of him back on set, signaling production to have begun. He also posted various pictures and videos the following day, including a video of his mustache being removed, due to Jeremiah not having one. On July 25, 2022, filming for the second season began.[6] Filming concluded on November 8, 2022.[7]
