Season 1 is the first season of Prime Video's The Summer I Turned Pretty. On February 8, 2021, it was announced that Amazon Studios ordered an eight-part series based on the book, The Summer I Turned Pretty.[2] It debuted on Prime Video on June 17, 2022.
On June 8, 2021, it was announced that Amazon Studios ordered a second season of the series.[3]
Synopsis[]
The Summer I Turned Pretty is a multigenerational drama that hinges on a love triangle between one girl and two brothers, the ever-evolving relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendship. It is a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer.

April 28, 2021, Lola Tung, Rachel Blanchard, Jackie Chung and Christopher Briney were cast as series regulars.[4] July 20, 2021, Gavin Casalegno joined the cast as a series regular.[5] July 26, 2021, Sean Kaufman, Minnie Mills and Alfredo Narciso are set as series regulars. Additionally, Summer Madison, David Iacono, Rain Spencer and Tom Everett Scott will recur.[6]
